Al Azhar Mosque is an architectural chronicle of Cairo’s history, an oriental spectacle built as early as 970, and further expansions were made at various stages. The mosque now includes a university and a library.  The historical site experienced a recent renovation process that aimed to restore and highlight the beauty of its architecture through lighting. 

Light was considered a major factor in the restoration, Vice provided various light solutions that were embedded in various sections including the exterior and the interior of the site. Aside of the custom made chandeliers for the prayer hall. The lighting complimented the distinctive architecture.
