Al Azhar Mosque is an architectural chronicle of Cairo’s history, an oriental spectacle built as early as 970, and further expansions were made at various stages. The mosque now includes a university and a library. The historical site experienced a recent renovation process that aimed to restore and highlight the beauty of its architecture through lighting.
